Text: 1 Kings 19:9-15 Elijah is running in fear from Jezebel. He finds himself in a self-willed mode by asking God to take His life, for he is no better than his fathers. He was in deep depression (maybe because of His weariness of ministry). The angel commands him to eat and then travel—forty days to Mount Horeb. God finds him in a cave. And begins to require of why he is there! God was saying to Elijah: “Stop complaining and grieving over your seeming failures. Get back to work.” This command is undoubtedly competent counsel. What we can learn from this: The place we are in with God! The plan that God gives to us! The power we have to “Go”!
