Episode 70 Righteousness Can God make us righteous, and if so how? Does He require us to be righteous to take us into eternity with Himself? Many today think that Jesus came to forgive our sins so we can go to heaven, but that true righteousness is not possible in this life. Is that true? Is it possible to do righteously if we are not righteous? Many today think that righteousness is only an “imputed” or theoretical righteousness but does not work out in a reality in our lives. Because we have been taught that “all of our righteousness is as filthy rags” in God’s sight, we should not worry too much if we see unrighteousness in our lives. Our comforting thought is that God overlooks our unrighteousness because we have believed in Jesus as our Savior. I think this is a great misunderstanding of God’s salvation.
