Sinopsis

In a world of chaos, it’s more important than ever to stand firm in Jesus, even if it means persecution. The Sermon on the Mount is the greatest sermon ever told. For almost three chapters in the book of Matthew, Jesus lays out many of His core teachings. Over and over, He calls us to a new way and a new outlook on life. In Matthew 5:11, He says, “Blessed are you when people insult you.” What Jesus? How is that a blessing? Jesus ends with “because of me.” That is when persecution is a blessing, when it is for Jesus. Sometimes, I’m afraid that I am more like the description in Revelation. A “lukewarm” Christian. Are we standing firm in our beliefs? Or are we going with whatever is popular at the time? This is tough, because there is a good chance that we are going to disagree on some issues or theology. The Bible is complex and deep. There are really smart people on both sides of every argument. But I don’t think we are going to get to heaven and God is going to start pointing out where our views were wrong. H
