Yeshua: Daily Tamid Lamb Offering Pt 5 ~ Morning Temple Service and the Tamid Lamb Sacrifice

We continue looking at the various activities surrounding the morning and the afternoon tamid lamb offering in the Temple. In doing so, we will see how it relates to and prophesies and parallels the events that happened to Yeshua when he died on the tree. In preparation for the morning tamid lamb offering, the priest would put new wood on the altar every morning (Lev 6:9, 12). The wood was added to both the sacrifice altar and the incense altar. There was then a second drawing of lots to determine who would slaughter the lamb. At cockcrow (dawn) word is given to prepare for the daily tamid lamb sacrifice. There was a declaration of the start of the daily morning service. In parallel to the Temple service, is was a cockcrow (dawn) that Yeshua was taken to Pilate (Mark 15:1). Early in the morning, the great gate of the Temple is opened. Three silver trumpet blasts are then sounded. A lamb is brought from the chamber of lambs.
