In this teaching segment we will look at a commonly misunderstood verse: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. Colossians 2:14 Mainstream Christianity interprets that the “handwriting of ordinances” is the Torah. Is this what Paul was saying? When we look at the previous verse we get more context: And you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.
