And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. Matthew 25: 8-9 Why is it that the wise virgins are concerned that there might not be enough oil for them and for the foolish virgins? It’s because this is taking place at midnight, when darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people (Isaiah 60:2). It was because the coming of the bridegroom to fetch his bride happens at the midnight hour…in the darkness of night. This is an allusion to the “Day of the LORD” and Jacob’s trouble. It is a time of clouds, darkness, and gloominess. The foolish virgins did not arise to return to the Torah. They lost their zeal for following after Yeshua and His Torah. The wise virgins are ready and prepared for their bridegroom; they were following Yeshua and His Torah. Once we are a part of Yeshua’s family, once we become betrothed to Him in stag
