Sukkot is associated with the Messianic era after Yeshua has returned and is ruling and reigning for a thousand years. All nations of the world will be required to keep the Feast of Tabernacles during the Messianic era. (Zechariah 14: 16-19) Here is the spiritual journey in a nutshell: This journey is represented by Passover, putting the blood of the lamb upon the doorposts, then Pentecost/Shavuot, which is associated with the giving of the Torah at Mt Sinai, and then going into the Promised land, Zion, which is associated with the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot, thus finishing the journey. In keeping Passover, we put the blood of the lamb on the doorposts of our heart. This is salvation.
