Leviticus 23:15-16 Shavuot is 50 days following the Festival of Firstfruits. It is also known as Pentecost. The Hebrew word and meaning for “sheaf” in the verse above is “omer”. Passover concludes with Shavuot, and the 49 day counting of the omer is what connects these two feasts.
