One of the items on the Passover Seder plate is a shank bone. It represents the Passover lamb that was sacrificed. Yeshua is the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. We also have matza on our Seder plate. Leaven represents sin. Matza is unleavened bread. Matza is a picture of Yeshua who is without sin. The matza is pierced. Yeshua was pierced for our transgressions. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. Psalm 22:16 The matza is striped. Yeshua was stricken and scourged with stripes on his back: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 Another item on the Seder plate is maror or bitter herbs along with horse radish. Horse radish reminds us of the bitterness of bondage that the Hebrews experienced as slaves in Egypt.
