In this teaching session, we follow the pattern of exile/bondage and redemption/deliverance: Step 1: The people of the God of Israel quit following Torah and quit teaching Torah to their children. Step 2: The people of the God of Israel go into exile because they are not following Torah and they are in physical or spiritual bondage. Step 3: After being in exile/bondage, the children of Israel cry out to God for their redemption/deliverance. Step 4: The God of Israel, by his mercy, remembers the covenant He made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and He sends a deliverer to his people to deliver them out of their exile/bondage.
