A Hebrew idiom for following the Torah is “walking in his ways.” Being lame then, is a picture of someone who does not follow the Torah. When the lame man is healed and is able to walk, at the deeper sod level, Yeshua was showing Him to follow the Torah. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
