Did you know, on a deeper level, that Yeshua was actually teaching the Torah to Ephraim, to the Northern Kingdom in the Sermon on the Mount? The Torah is Light (Psalm 119:105, Prov 4:18, Prov 6:23). Yeshua is light (John 12:35-36). Therefore, to follow Yeshua is to follow Torah and to walk in the light. Yeshua is teaching to the multitudes at the Sermon on the Mount. The multitudes represent the northern kingdom scattered to the nations of the world. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. What is the deeper meaning? What is Yeshua really saying? The Pharisees followed the Oral Law/Torah.
