I'll Call You Right Back

This week, I sit down with fancybread. Eli or ‘fancybread’ is a mixed media artist based out of Pittsburgh, Pa. A couple years ago, I came across his Instagram because of a 6ft piece he created of Mac Miller when he unfortunately passed away. I thought the piece was really great and have been following his work ever since. This week, we sit down and talk about life and how his journey lead him to art. fancybread grew up playing sports. He doodled here and there but never fully committed to art. Basketball was life. He played hoops in college and after making life choices that led him away from basketball, he started to manifest his destiny a different way. We talk about motivation, self reflection, discipline, the up’s and down’s along the way, and so much more. This weekend, fancybread is challenging himself to do an Ironman to raise money which will start in Southside with a 2 1/2 mile swim, then a 100+ mile bike ride, finished up with running a marathon, and ending by jumping in Lake Erie.
