The Bite 1 Peter 2:24-25 For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. Sheep- four legged animal that has tendencies to follow a leader.  A tendency to flock with other sheep. They love being grouped together. When separated from the other sheep, that sheep get stressed. Known as unintelligent animals due to the flocking together and their quickness to panic and flee. Sheep also hide signs of illness. Ladies, besides having the four legs and white furry bodies, we are a lot like sheep. But, we have Shepherd and Overseer of our soul who guides up right back on the right path. In this bite, we are the sheep. We are the ones who fall to the side, wander, roam away from Jesus. We fall in the path of sin. But, I love the transition, “But God”. By his grace and mercy, we can return to the Shepherd and Overseer of our souls. Return in this verse means to turn to, worship and love and obey the true God.
