Lots of people own fitness trackers and don’t use them. They’re fun! I have one! But the novelty does wear off...   If you really want to change your life, figure out your pain, pleasure, and aspirational identity and then do a habit that supports that identity. A habit you can actually do every day.   Example:   "I am tired of feeling lethargic and discouraged with myself.   I'd like to feel energized and pleased with myself.   I want to be a consistently active person.   A consistently active person goes on walks every day.   I will go on a walk every day- even though I live in Chicago and it's super gross outside, I will bundle up and go for a 5 minute walk. Wow. I will do again tomorrow. Ok today is warmer- I can do 30 minutes. Wow. I did it. Again. And again. Wow, I guess I really AM a consistently active person. Ok great! Keep it going! Now this is just who I am and I don't even need to track this anymore...."     The fitness tracker is just some fun
