Falls are the leading cause of injury and accidental death among older adults in the US. Falls can also lead to premature placement in a nursing home. But the chances of falling can be greatly reduced, according to Susan Stark, PhD, Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy, of Neurology and of Social Work at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis.
