Faith In The Valley

This is the fourth lesson on the subject of Christ’s glory. I want to remind you of our theme verse, 2 Corinthians 4:6. Here it is from the long forgotten Good News Translation. “The God who said, ‘Out of darkness the light shall shine!’ is the same God who made his light shine in our hearts, to bring us the knowledge of God's glory shining in the face of Christ.” And that is what we are attempting in this study. We want to open up the Scripture and search for Jesus Christ. It is like a treasure hunt. When we find Jesus in the Bible we find God’s glory. Why? Jesus, God the Son, reflects the glory of God the Father. In the first three lessons, we looked at the first three signs of Jesus recorded in John’s gospel. These signs show Jesus revealing the glory of God. Sometimes when He reveals His glory people are happy. And sometimes, when He reveals, people get mad. They get so mad the want to kill Him. Last week we studied John 5:1-18. Here Jesus healed the man at the pool of Bethesda. Today we return to John 5
