Born Bret Purdy in 1993, The Ontario artist grew up playing guitar, piano , and writing lyrics in his spare time in his early high school years. After the passing of his friend Breezy who at the time would always encourage Bret to pursue his career in music Bret did just that . Starting off as Lil-$moke based off the nickname he was given Smokie by Breezy , he dropped his first single " Double Cup Love " to Youtube and Soundcloud . Slowly gaining listens and traction he realized music was something he wanted to do for the rest of his life.
