In a letter like Colossians, which is designed to combat false teaching, and exalt the Supremacy of Jesus Christ, no wonder Paul begins this little epistle speaking of prayer. Someone has wisely said, "The church moves forward on her knees." It is questionable if anything of lasting value will ever be done in the kingdom of God apart from prayer.
