Happy Advent Hello St. Mary Magdalene, Thank you for your prayers during my quarantine. I'm back and feeling great. I've been cleared of all symptoms and have negative tests. Today marks a special shift in our liturgy and Advent preparations with what's called the "O Antiphons" found in the 7 verses of the hymn "O Come, O Come Emmanuel." These 7 antiphons speak to 7 prophecies fulfilled in Christ from the Old Testament and the Church focuses on these specifically by using them in the liturgy to further build our expectant joy at the coming of the Messiah! "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" is one of my favorite hymns, I pray with it regularly throughout Advent as a beautiful reminder that God is here with us and that He has not (nor will He ever) leave us!
