In December, the UN met in its second-ever "Special Session" to discuss what they are calling a "Global Pandemic Treaty." In this session, it adopted a road map called "The World Together." This road map sets deadlines for the production and completion of a Global Pandemic Treaty. This treaty will strengthen preexisting legal obligations for member countries when a global health emergency is declared.
