On today’s podcast, we talk with Deborah Gonzalez, a candidate for District Attorney in the Western Judicial Circuit covering Athens-Clarke and Oconee counties. We talked with Deborah about her candidacy for DA in December, but since then, Deborah has filed and won a lawsuit that prevented the Governor from cancelling the 2020 DAs race by appointing a replacement to the outgoing DA Ken Mauldin. We talked with Deborah about this lawsuit and how she sees the role of District Attorney in responding to calls for justice and an end to police brutality.
