EXHIBITION: JAN 22 - FEB 18, 2022 NOVAH GALLERY (176 Lakeshore Drive, North Bay, ON) The Nipissing Region Curatorial Collective (NRCC) is proud to present 'YASSIFIED: Culture Mapping and Very Queer Things, new work by Canadian Artist, James. Fowler. Two bodies of work, 'BARCODE' and 'HUNTY' are being shown concurrently and explore toxic masculinity through a queer lens. Objects playfully augmented with embroidery and embellished with glitter are given new meanings with a shifting context. Beneath the surface, Fowler is igniting conversations of mens' role in feminism and their responsibility to interrogate and dismantle patriarchy. YASSIFIED runs until FEBRUARY 18th, 2022.
