Kristen Deborah Modafferi was an 18 year old living in Oakland, California. She was originally from North Carolina, and was taking photography and dance classes. On June 23, 1997 at 3pm, she left her coffee house job at the Crocker Galleria in San Francisco--her co-workers thought she was headed to the beach. But 45 minutes later Kristen was seen still in the mall. She was never seen again.
