This week's episode completes our masterclass and concludes last week's examination of liturgy in culture, life, and the Mass. "If you want to make citizens for a consumer culture, you need people with low inhibitions because consumer culture doesn't like people who are self-possessed and self-controlled because they don't need to buy a bunch of garbage. What you need is people who have bad impulse control. Those are good consumers."
