Hi everyone! This weeks episode is a solo episode with Lucy. Lucy interviewed the amazing Pranjal Jain. Pranjal Jain is a 17-year-old social justice organizer, activist, and badass beti. At fifteen years old, she learned that she had spent the first seven years of her life undocumented and that shocking discovery pushed her to understand how her experiences and identities fit into the world around her. As a former illegal immigrant, woman, and Indian-American, Pranjal’s personal experiences translated into her advocacy for immigrant’s rights, women’s rights, and self-empowerment. She first started organizing around bullying-prevention when she was 12 years old, holding workshops and serving as a peer educator. Since then, she has organized numerous social justice rallies and events, created curriculum centered around women’s issues, joined Brown Girl Magazine’s team as the youngest writer for their politics/social justice section, and serves as Associate Director of GenZ Girl Gang.
