Episode 105: On this episode, award winning author Paul Buckner joins me on the show. Paul is a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation, author, musician, and avid outdoorsman. The oral tradition of his Cherokee family drove him to collect folktales and stories of those he met in his travels across the U.S. Many of the stories have been passed down through several generations. It is these stories that provide inspiration for his writing. Paul grew up in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and as a young boy spent many summers in the woods or on the lakes, creeks and rivers hunting, fishing, and camping. Those experiences led to a deep respect for the outdoors, traditional ways, and the natural environment.
