One of the very first commands we have as christians in terms of our growth is the development of the fruit of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the teacher but it is our responsibility to cultivate the attitude for those fruits to grow. In the current climate in America what better proving ground is there when the past 4 years have seen division the likes never seen. So what keeps us from advancing in the fruit of the Spirit? the old nature and our respone to the competing fruit of the flesh. YES the old nature has it's own well blossomed sinful fruit that absolutely will try to mask as justifiable but we know that it is not.
