On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown in the UK between the 25th and the 29th August (Episodes #11,653 - 11,658). Sorry, we couldn't help it - this episode does get somewhat ranty towards the beginning thanks to Corrie's insane decision to publish spoilers about the massive twist in Friday's episode first thing in the morning, thus ruining the surprise for anyone foolish enough to scroll social media rather whilst munching on their Weetabix rather than switching straight to ITVX. And it was a great twist too! Definitely something that we're interested in seeing the fallout from at Number 13... Anyway, that wasn't even the main focus of the week - that particular spotlight, of course, falls on Asha, who had a bit of a mare of a day to flash back to on Monday, and on the same week that we're saying goodbye to the lovely Aadi, too! We’ve walked the Corrie cobbles more times than we can count, so we thought - why not give the Dales a try? Last weekend, we headed up to Yorkshire for the Emmerdale Village Tour, despite knowing next to nothing about ITV’s second soap. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a Conversation Street trip up north without a little detour! Alongside the official tour, we also popped over to Esholt, the village that was home to Emmerdale between 1976 and 1997. But the big question is: is the Emmerdale tour worth taking if you don’t know your Dingles from your Sugdens? Tune in to find out! This week saw Abi and Carl come dangerously close to being exposed when Hope inadvertently snapped a photo of them together in the precinct. We're back from our holidays in France, all caught up on Corrie, and it's finally time for Episode #691 of the podcast, where we chat about what went on between the 25th July and the 1st August (Episodes #11,627 - 11,634) It's been a long time coming, but this week finally saw Abi and Carl giving into their desires and dropping their drawers for a seven-minute bunk up in the garage office. Whilst Abi rated the union 'cracking' and Carl certainly seemed pleased with himself, we can't say we're too pleased about the development ourselves - but is there really ANYONE in this storyline who's side we'd say we were on? On the Saturday of International Soap Week, the pair of us took on the challenge of walking between the location of Corrie's old set in Quay Street to its current home in Media City, and we weren't alone! Accompanied by a group of Conversation Street listeners, we set off through Manchester, stopping off at various Corrie filming locations with the aim of raising money for Dementia UK.
