SPOILERS from 40:33-42:08This is the first Lynch-directed Frost-written episode in a while and boy, can you tell. Bobby is skipping economics, and we get another appearance of Snake Mike, whose decision NOT to skip economics clearly pays off. Who are Mr. Tojamora's contacts in Osaka, and who decided this wildly racist subplot was okay?

SPOILERS for the rest of season 2 from 54:00-59:15.We discuss vicuna coats, things that were definitely still racist even in the 90s, and the man himself, David Lynch as Gordon Cole. And what the hell, kazoos.

Question to consider: Why doesn't Twin Peaks have a courthouse? How do you make a Black Yukon Sucker Punch? Is Hawk a stone-cold murderer? What's Lenny Von Dohlen up to these days, and more importantly, can we get him on the podcast?

We might not have a depth of knowledge but we do have a breadth of vocabulary. Clint Sternwood is a wholesome Pacific northwest grandpa & we think he and Major Briggs should collaborate on a profound speech. There is a moment between Truman and Cooper for which there is no heterosexual explanation. Josie should...probably be arrested?

No spoilers section in this one. We have no idea what's going on for most of this episode, but not in the usual fun Twin Peaks way. Albert is a pacifist, Bobby is a criminal mastermind, and Ben Horne is Ben Horne. James feels angst because his decisions have consequences. Also, this episode was recorded so far in advance of when we released it that Marianne Williamson was still in the Democratic primary and qualifying for debates.

SPOILERS from 45:55-55:50 Everyone in this show is really bad at looking inconspicuous. Baby David Lynch magics some creamed corn off a plate. Andy is really bad at using tape. We discuss, in the spoilers section, that the motto of this podcast is basically just "we're really just going to let David Lynch make us watch this scene, huh?"

We're still working on totally unfounded assumptions about the legality of prostitution in Canada, Hank's manslaughter charges remain unclear, and Doc Hayward is a CARDIOLOGIST now? It's been a minute since we recorded. Oops. Audrey is a BAMF. Ed's fancy cowboy shirt is excellent, even if he and Coop are absolutely terrible at being undercover. We have some ideas about where Bobby should put his cocaine and debate whether "Realization Time" is a good or terrible title.

Maybe Hank Jennings didn't actually do anything wrong...probably not. Unclear why Doc Hayward is here, but we're not complaining. We finally get some answers about how Flesh World magazine works and dive into a seven-layer analysis of Hawk's character.

We do a lot of impressions of the characters in this one, for some reason. Jacques Renault can't run that fast. A lengthy Google exploration into the difference between voluntary and involuntary manslaughter was cut out of the middle of this one. We briefly revisit our love of Doc Hayward, who is struggling with the concept of Diet Lasagna.

Remember how we said we were going to find a new word to use instead of "weird"? No such luck. Other words overused include "compelling" and "sincere." Episode 3, "Zen, or the Skill to Catch a Killer." Tibetan Buddhists aren't Zen Buddhists. We discuss David Lynch's directorial choices, the Horne brothers' hooker assignments, and Harry Truman's questionable insults, but only after about 15 attempts to record the intro.

Episode 2, "Traces to Nowhere." There's a fish in the percolator. Unclear how seriously we're supposed to be taking some of these scenes. We need to find a synonym for "weird."
