The Modern Minuteman concept is still being fleshed out and developed with lots of considerations when it comes to modern warfare. Among the many details to establish has been the apparent need for weapon platforms that can increase engagement tempo and firepower offering tactical options for small units and teams. This need has led to many different ideas and perspectives on how the modern minuteman should approach specialized platforms and some look to the military for answers. Although the military can offer many valuable insights into fighting methods, the military doctrine and approach to the use of machine guns is very specific. In this episode Stephen and Jacob sit down with Ben Price (a fomer USMC 0331 Machine Gunner) to explain the ways military machine gun tactics differ from small unit auto rifle tactics.
