When we choose to be encouragers, we help others stay strong in their faith. Michael Brown shared how Simon of Cyrene, an ordinary man just passing by, was chosen to carry Jesus' cross—a powerful reminder that God often uses those who seem forgotten. He reminded us that God still works through “nobodies” today to do unforgettable things. When we say yes to God, our faith can leave a lasting impact on future generations.

Sam Williams spoke about fully trusting God, using the story of Shamgar from Judges 3:31. He reminded us that with God’s strength, even ordinary people can do amazing things. Sam encouraged us to start each day with faith and rely on God to face our biggest battles. She reminded us that when we walk by faith and make ourselves available, God can use us in mighty ways. Pastor Ben spoke about living under the authority of Jesus and fully trusting Him with our lives. He showed how pride, fear, jealousy, and past failures can hold us back, just like they did with Saul and Absalom. But when we surrender everything to God, like David did, He gives us a new heart, boldness, and the power to live with purpose.

Pastor Andria taught that loyalty is revealed in moments of disruption, when things are uncertain or painful. Using Ruth’s story, she showed how real loyalty is a choice—not based on feelings, but on commitment and endurance. When we stay loyal through hard times, like Ruth did with Naomi, God uses that faithfulness to align us with His purpose and build a lasting legacy.

Captain Travis Whitley reminded us that we are not just attendees, but carriers of God’s presence—called, chosen, and deeply loved. He released a powerful blessing over every person, especially honoring fathers and father figures, encouraging them to reflect the heart of our Heavenly Father. He also urged us to be alert and fully equipped with the armor of God—putting on the helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shoes of peace, shield of faith, and sword of the Spirit—so we can stand strong against the enemy and walk boldly in victory.

Pastor Kevin’s sermon taught that while our capabilities and skills can open opportunities, it is our character that allows us to sustain and grow in them. He reminded us that skills are gifts from God meant to serve others, but true transformation happens when we cultivate Christlike character through daily surrender and spiritual discipline. What impresses people may be visible, but what truly matters is how God shapes our hearts.

Pastor Terry’s message focuses on the danger of pride and the power of true humility. Pride leads us to trust in ourselves, compare with others, and reject our need for God, while humility admits our weakness, honors God, and lifts others up. Using the parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector, he reminds us that God exalts the humble, and he challenges us to follow Jesus’ example by confessing sin, serving sacrificially, and putting others before ourselves.

In this message, Pastor Terry and Jimmy Strasser remind us that resilience means rising strong when life gets hard, without losing our faith or our fire. Through scriptures like Hebrews 12 and Esther 4, they encourage us to let go of the things that weigh us down, run with endurance, and keep our eyes on Jesus, who leads and strengthens us. Jimmy gives new meaning to the acronym P.T.S.D.—Prayer, Train, Serve, and Develop daily disciplines—offering a powerful and practical way to grow through life’s challenges and stay grounded in God’s purpose for us.

Pastor Tim shared a powerful message about living a life of honor—honoring those above, beside, and below us. He encouraged us to love deeply, show respect, and grow in godly character by practicing forgiveness, humility, and self-discipline. Pastor Tim also challenged us to serve others, stay accountable, and live courageously as followers of Jesus.

Pastor Anita reminded us that trusting God means fully relying on His character, promises, and guidance—even when things feel uncertain. She taught that we should trust Him with our whole heart, invite Him into every area of our lives, and stop depending only on our own understanding. God doesn’t just want to approve our plans—He wants to lead them, and He promises to guide our steps when we trust Him.

Pastor Terry reminded us that living for God starts with knowing who we are in Christ. We don’t have to earn our identity—it’s a gift from God, and when we receive it, we can walk confidently in the purpose He designed for us. The Kingdom Code isn’t about trying harder—it’s about living from the truth that we are already made new, empowered, and chosen.

Dwight Bain’s message, The Power of Change, highlights how life’s interruptions often lead to growth by pushing us into uncomfortable but transformative seasons. Though change feels stressful and disorienting, it carries hidden energy that can fuel healing, strength, and realignment with what matters most. By embracing change head-on, we can step into a new, stronger version of ourselves rooted in faith and purpose.

Pastor Terry shared that the resurrection isn’t just something we remember—it’s something we can truly experience in our own lives. Like the disciples at the empty tomb, we’re invited to come and see, to believe, and to let hope rise in our hearts. When we trust Jesus, He transforms the dead places in us and brings us fully alive with His Spirit.

Pastor Terry and Pastor Andria reminded us that Jesus didn’t come to meet the crowd’s expectations—He came to meet their greatest need. On Palm Sunday, the same voices that once cheered for Him would soon turn, showing us that true worship isn’t just praise, it’s surrender. Jesus may not show up how we imagined, but He always shows up exactly how we need—gentle, humble, and full of love. 

Pastor Terry reminded us that, like David, our greatest legacy is serving God’s purpose in our generation and setting up the next to go even further. With deep love and devotion, David gave generously to build a house for the Lord—not out of duty, but out of worship. Today, as we bring our Legacy Giving, we do so with grateful hearts, knowing our gifts make a lasting impact and honor the God who has given us everything.

For 29 years, The Father’s House has been a multi-generational church built on faithfulness, trust, and preparation for what’s next. As we step into year 30, we recognize this as a divine transition—moving from preparation to action, embracing change, and stepping boldly into our calling. Just as God has always used seasons of change to propel His people forward, we stand in the exchange zone, ready for the next chapter of His purpose.

Today’s message focused on the power of our names and the legacies we leave behind, reminding us that we can break negative cycles and create a lasting impact. Even small acts of service, like Johnny the Bagger’s story, can make a big difference when done with love and dedication. As we prepare for the Leave a Legacy offering, we are encouraged to follow Jesus’ example of sacrificial love, invest in others, and live with purpose.
