Exploring, enjoying, and conserving Michigans great outdoors. Fox and the Forest is a relaxed and varied discussion centered on the intersection of people and nature. While not focused exclusively on the work of the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy, the podcast is brought to you by the Conservancy staff and their guests. As conservationists and outdoor enthusiasts, the hosts and guests will cover topics that may range from deep-dive conservation issues to birding, to the latest gear for hiking, and nature photography. Each episode will also feature information about outdoor recreation project and programs, as well as environmental or conservation projects in Michigan.

    You've probably heard of Isle Royale National Park. Although one of the least visited national parks, it's one of the most revisited and is one of the closer parks for those of us living in mid-Michigan. What you might not know is that Isle Royale is ground zero for the longest ongoing predator-prey study, which examines the fascinating relationship between the island's wolves and moose. Moosewatch is a citizen science effort to assist researchers with the necessary groundwork to help collect data critical to this ongoing effort.
