I was encouraged by hearing all about the impact this show has had on people. It’s truly incredible. Thank you guys! Let’s go back in time, 2 weeks ago! I went to a private event in Idaho and Alex Charfen did a 2-day event. I have so many pages of notes from this event. He kind of does what I do, but he works with a higher level of people. He’s an expert at leadership and organizational structure. These things matter for smaller companies too. It costs someone $60k a year to work with him. So, let’s get to the value bombs! There are 4 different types of people in the world according to Alex. Caretakers – Those who like to help others. Communicators – Those who like to chat and be connected. They like small talk. Coordinator – Those who like the fine print and details. They like to sit on committees. Hunter – The entrep

17/08/2018 Duración: 12minEpisode 315 – There Is Nowhere to Get and You Have Already WON! (I’ll PROVE It) I’m in Boise, ID attending an even with Alex Charfen! Today, I’m going to share some thoughts after day 1! I think you are going to like this, it’s going to encourage you and I’d love some feedback on your thoughts! There is nowhere to get, you have already won! For a while, we moved to Costa Rica and lived there. Things are SOOOO massively different. We are in an accomplishment and driven culture, living here was hard for me. It was hard to be okay with the things that they would do. Some of the people would go to the grocery store and buy 3 eggs for breakfast, then go back and buy more groceries for dinner. The roads were skinny, people would stop in the middle of the road with 37 cards behind them and take their groceries inside. But, they were content and happy. There’s a study all about how money doesn’t buy happiness after exceeding $75k per year. http://content.time.com/ti

Episode 312 – Feed The Right Wolf
05/08/2018 Duración: 10minEpisode 312 – Feed The Right Wolf Two natures beat within my chest, The one is foul, the one is blessed, The one I love, the one I hate, The one I feed will dominate. -Anonymous Quite a few years ago I worked for Quicken Loans doing mortgages. This company was run on phrases called isms. The culture and the building were super strong. They were constantly voted one of the top 50 places to work for. The poem above is one of the things they had on the walls. This is how I feel, often! 2 Different people in the same body. I can be the most generous, patient person ever & sometimes I’m the exact opposite. It all truly depends on which part you are feeding, what you put your focus on. When you get up every day and chop the wood, work the right principles, you will not make decisions based on emotions. You won’t make decisions based on the one bad thing that happened. If you do this, it’s mathematically impossible for you to lose in the long run. Principles are the path. They al

Episode 310 – I Was Thrown Out By A Little Old Lady!
01/08/2018 Duración: 12minEpisode 310 – I Was Thrown Out By A Little Old Lady! I’ve been on a mission to get more organized, which is why you haven’t heard from me in a few days! Today, I’m going to tell you a story about my first year in business. I had gotten a job to clean the windows from a little old lady in a condo. I was by myself for this job in my little Chevy Cavalier. The job was way underbid, but I was excited! Well, it all started with removing screens. One of these screens just wouldn’t come out! I was trying to be as careful as I could and I didn’t want to break it. The little old lady was getting super impatient and getting super mad…Asking me what the problem was and why I was taking so long… Suddenly, she tells me to get out of the way and she punched her screen out of the window and into a bush then told me to get out… It was such a discouraging day. But, I didn’t give up. What if I would have given up? What if I used that as my excuse to give up? C

Episode 309 – Josh Gets Interviewed – Service Autopilot – Systems, Automation And More
28/07/2018 Duración: 46minEpisode 309 – Josh Gets Interviewed – Service Autopilot – Systems, Automation, And More It’s crazy what you can do with a service company when you get the right systems and the right team! – Josh Latimer It wasn’t all successes. We had massive pain and suffering as well. It can be one of the greatest and worst things ever, to have a service company. All systems are valid. You need them, but the foundation needs to be sales & marketing. It’s easier to build and scale a company quicker, to build a company of rock star employees, by slowing down, looking at the itty bitty things in your business that everyone else misses. Like how you present pricing to your customer, how you answer the phone, how you make your customer feel, the processes, the perceived value, etc! Most of that is inexpensive or FREE to work on. It will change everything about your business. Interested to hear all about getting your customers to marry your business instead of dating your busine

Episode 308 – Do You Need A Reset?
27/07/2018 Duración: 13minEpisode 308 – Do You Need A Reset? We’re over halfway through the year! Are you winning so far? Are you inspired by someone else achieving a great thing when the reality of your life is really, really hard? Sometimes it’s hard to borrow inspiration. I get it. We’ve all been there and had a tough streak through our business. It can be scary and serious stuff. Sometimes you feel like a loser, you’re embarrassed and beat yourself up over the non-successes. Well, I have massive compassion for you. I’ve been there. Sometimes things break. Sometimes they don’t work. Your story isn’t over, this is just the beginning! If you feel this way, sometimes you need to push pause, pull back, cut expenses, let people go, regroup and get your head right. THIS IS OKAY TO DO! Most people overestimate what they can achieve in a year and underestimate what they can achieve in a decade. – Tony Robbins Interested to hear more? Check out this awesome 13-minute episode! If

Episode 307 – Are You Poor Or Broke?
26/07/2018 Duración: 14minEpisode 307 – Are You Poor Or Broke? It’s been a disaster lately. I haven’t been doing my podcasts. I’ve been sick, have had 2/5 kids all alone and it’s been a weird week! It’s been awesome and I’m awesome. Awesome means there’s massive opportunity and things in the pipe! We have a choice to make, do we focus only on the bad things and the things that are going wrong? We could totally do these things. Or we could focus only on the opportunity. The things that are in front of you that could happen, that probably will happen if you pursue them. If you stay positive and keep going, things will happen. You need to stay organized and follow up with opportunities. Don’t let it overwhelm you. Stay on top of it! On average, the people who make the most money focus on the long game, not short term! Whether you think you can or you can’t, either way, you’re right! – Henry Ford Interested to hear more on these things? Check out this 14-minut

Episode 306 – Why Henry Ford Was A Genius
23/07/2018 Duración: 17minEpisode 306 – Why Henry Ford Was A Genius Wind Mills are monstrous things… It is beyond epic that these even exist. That people have created something like these. It’s amazing to me. Humans have done amazing, crazy things. Nothing that ever truly changes the world, happens by yourself! We think we can do way more on our own than we can. The role of a person like Henry Ford, Elon Musk or you, is to be a delegator or investor of resources. The importance of a team, cannot be under stated. What is capable when you get the right people around you is incredible. How do you create a vision that others can rally behind? Once you have a team, how can you allocate your time and resources in a way that leverages everything to the highest degree? This should be your focus. This should be the biggest thing. This is situational and different for everyone, but figure this out. You can’t be the best in the world at everything. Does this sound interesting to you? Well, tune in to this 17-minute

Episode 305 – Learn Why The “Daisy Principle” Is Holding You Back
19/07/2018 Duración: 14minEpisode 305 – Learn Why The “Daisy Principle” Is Holding You Back I hope you are having a super fantastic, ultra magical day! I got a random Facebook message that turned into a Facebook call today, from a very nice, genuine person. Basically, we talked a bit about how hard she should be promoting her stuff and if she should do this new thing. Well, this is something I’ve talked about before, how it’s your moral obligation to sell your stuff to as many people as possible for as much as possible. If you don’t sell your stuff to the market, they are not going to stop buying. They’ll just end up buying from someone who doesn’t care as much as you do. So, let’s talk a little today about being busy vs. being productive… there is a HUGE difference. Figure out what levers you can pull. what low hanging fruit can you attack? What simple things can you do tomorrow to produce a big result with a low amount of effort? If you haven’t offended someon

18/07/2018 Duración: 21minEpisode 304 – Grow Your Online Reputation With Lars Kristensen One of our BIG Updates is here on this Special Edition episode! I talked to Lars about a year ago about an integration with NiceJob and SendJim, and it’s finally here! In today’s world, reputation is everything. NiceJob is the easiest way to build a great reputation online. They make it really easy to get more reviews and even share them for you on social media, web properties, etc. It’s all automated. You don’t have to do it yourself. Reputation is a requirement now. – Josh Latimer This is the lifeblood of businesses moving forward – Lars Things have changed so much. You use to use yellow pages, but now people are getting more reputation sensitive rather than price sensitive. A lot of times, consumers stalk the company before they even call. They google your thing, click on your youtube video, read your reviews, check you out on Facebook, watch videos of you, etc. If they are lazy, they instantly call…BUT that o

Episode 302 – Don’t Focus On Catching – (Nugget)
16/07/2018 Duración: 13minEpisode 302 – Don’t Focus On Catching – (Nugget) I’m hanging out by myself on a Sunday evening making a podcast just for you! I am a huge fan of the podcast by Seth Godin, called Akimbo, https://www.akimbo.me/ (click here to check it out!) This type of podcast isn’t for everyone, it really makes you think. It’s kind of like an abstract, funny, super deep, insightful and metaphorical podcast that is super business related. This guy is a GENIUS! My head explodes when I listen to his stuff. The way to learn to juggle has nothing to do with trying to learn to juggle. What this means is that the way you learn is not the way you perform. Sometimes we focus on the wrong thing. The way we try to get the business to be successful is by replicating a result. Being like the other business we saw. We are always trying to be at the end today, even though we aren’t there yet. We’re focused on feeling excited that we can make $200k per year, but why are you working so hard

Episode 298 – You Have Already Won & There Is Nowhere To Get
10/07/2018 Duración: 10minEpisode 298 – You Have Already Won & There Is Nowhere To Get Josh, there is nowhere to get. – Tony Grebmeier This ties in with how we compare ourselves to others. If you have a passion or fire in your belly to do something, you should do it. Stop worrying about how hard it is to get there. Ask yourself, if it’s worth it. If the answer is yes, do what you need to do to get there. Stop stalling and get doing! We are more driven to achieve things than ever before. Think about 1789, a husband and wife got a homestead and a wagon with a horse…They had to do EVERYTHING. If they didn’t do certain things before winter, they’d pretty much die. People were TOUGH and had a lot of grit back then. I want this mindset back, and I want this mindset for my kids. I don’t expect perfection from my kids. I’m cheering them on for trying things. Interested in hearing more about my kids and my sons solo dance party! Check out this podcast! If You Haven’t Yet, Check Out Re

It’s simply your choice – Ray Burke I have another brand new shiny friend on the other end of the phone named Derek Preece! He has a very interesting story! He runs an agency helping people all over hte country running their businesses. Before this, he had a cleaning company for 20 years fighting the good fight like you and me! Just like everyone listening to this show. Derek has been in business for hiself for the better part of his life. He loves building things, watching them grow and changing lives. Sales & marketing is the most important foundational system for your company. It’s the life bloods, the gas in the gas tank. I’m a huge fan of recording calls because most people sound very different than they think they do, and they aren’t intentioanl enough on the entire process. The convention is a business building powerhou
