The boys are back in a big way with an NFL Draft edition of Downey and Martez. The guys hit the record button right after the Buccaneers selected Logan Hall with the 33rd overall selection. The guys discussed the pick and how he fits into Tampa Bay's defense. The guys then rewound to night one and discussed what might have led to the Bucs trading out of the first round. Trey also asked Len if the Bucs might've been hoping that one of the safeties that went at 31 and 32 would be waiting there at 33. The talk then turned to the crazy wide receiver trades. The guys debated whether the Hollywood Brown or AJ Brown trade was more surprising. Len then explained why he was surprised at the lack of quarterbacks taken while Trey doubled down on his prediction for Kenny Pickett. Well it's been a couple of weeks but that just means Len Martez has a lot to cover on a new podcast called The Xtra Point. The Buccaneers off-season has been filled with intriguing storylines & this past week was no different. But just when you think Tom Brady's move to unretire was a shocker, the Wednesday night sports headline was Head Coach Bruce Arians was stepping down to take a position in the front office & Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles was taking over as head coach. But before Len discussed Arians hanging up his playbook, he recapped some of the team's transactions that took place over the last couple of weeks. After talking about some of the team's player moves, Len broke down why he wasn't believing the theories of a quarterback pushing a head coach into retirement. Along with that Len ended this podcast with some NFL draft talk & what part of the roster the team may be looking to bolster in the first round. Brady is back, back again. Brady is back. Tell a friend. The main topic on this week’s edition of Downey and Martez was no mystery. Trey Downey and Len Martez start the show by diving headfirst into the Tom Brady news. The guys discuss just how surprised they were when they saw Brady’s tweet and how his rerun changes the whole complexion of this off-season for the Buccaneers. The guys then got into the other moves that the Bucs made. Trey told you why he was so impressed at the moves to bring back Ryan Jensen and trade for Shaq Mason while Len told you how big of a deal it was to bring back Carlton Davis. The gents obviously had to discuss the pieces that the Bucs lost in Alex Cappa and Jordan Whitehead as well. The guys then moved on to the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes. Trey then gave you 3 free agent running backs to keep an eye on. The conversation then turned into all of the huge quarterback news. Trey and Len discussed Aaron Rodgers returning to Green Bay, Russell Wilson being traded to Denver and Carson Wentz being dealt to Indianapolis. All of this circled back to the Buccaneers and how their quarterback options for 2022 might be down to a Final Four. Finally, Trey and Len discussed Calvin Ridley being suspended for betting on games and debated whether the punishment fit the crime.

Your favorite dynamic duo is back for another edition of the Downey and Martez podcast. Trey Downey and Len Martez are back for another informative and entertaining edition of Downey and Martez. The guys started the show by breaking down the Super Bowl.
