They're fighters, they're scholars, and they're brothers. These two rising LA prospects, the Rodarte Twins, came in to the Boxing TL;DR studio to talk with Trevor and Garrity on Episode 11 of the Boxed In podcast.  They said they'd never fight, even for a million dollars, so we got them to debate each other a bit.  These two are both friends and competitive training partners. Julian and Yovani and share with us a little about their background and the day to day life of being an LA fighter + college student. Darious Harris of Rancho Cucamonga, CA is a 4-0 154 lb prospect.    Darious talks with Trevor and Garrity about his boxing career, the guys he's working with in camp on a regular basis, his friendship with Deontay Wilder, and his transformation from overweight to becoming an athlete that runs on a strictly vegan diet.    Known as @DActive_nsg on social media, Darious shares what "NSG" means and how he lives his brand.  "Never Stop Grinding" is not only his fighter's brand, but it's an ethos he lives out every day.  

We sat down and talked with Luis Bello, who's a young guy but already a veterano in this sport.    He talked about the challenges of being born into boxing and trying to be a regular kid, getting the nod to appear in some big fights on PBC cards, challenges in his career, and the win streak he is on after a few losses.    Luis is a interesting guy in person and tough to face in the ring.    *the April 20th bout between Danny Garcia and Adrian Granados is in Carson, CA not Philly, mistake 

Trevor and Garrity sat down and had a conversation with owner and trainer of Jackrabbits Boxing in Long Beach, Ivan Silve, and the legendary Southern California amateur boxing coach and 2012 Team USA Olympic Coach, Joe Zanders.   We went over the Spence - Garcia the day after the big fight.  Zanders gave insight, as he knew both boxers in their amateur days, including being Errol Spence Jr's coach in the 2012 London Olympics.  We talked about the importance of getting American amateur boxers international experience early on, learned about the work Joe is doing at the Compton Youth Activities League, and the latest from Jackrabbits. 

Trevor and Garrity bring back what they gathered from fight night in Carson in a controversial decision between Shawn Porter and Yordenis Ugas for Porters WBC welterweight title.    Trevor throws speculation on Golden Boy's Ryan Garcia, and which fighters should be in the conversation and ones that he might not be ready for.    Errol Spence Jr. vs. Mikey Garcia is finally this weekend.  After much talk on prior episodes of the podcast, the guys give their final thoughts leading up to the fight.  Mikey Garcia attempts to take his 5th division World Championship title, if he can beat the champ, Errol Spence Jr.    Subscribe to the show, where ever you're getting the feed. This week on the podcast we had one of Southern California's brightest prospects. Dutchover talks growing up in Texas, the move to California one week after high school graduation, and how he's racked up a 12-0 record in just 2 years in the pro game. Dutchover talks about the sacrifices he's made to take his game to the next level, the perspective he's gained thanks to the sport of boxing, and his long held love for fighting. Not many young adults make their 3rd grade "What I'm going to be when I grow up" assignment come true in real life, but this kid did.

Trevor and Garrity talk boxing news, recap some of the fights over the weekend, Trevor gives Garrity a lesson in observed tactics, hip hop, and post modernism?  The hosts give a news based episode where they cover topics both in the ring and outside.  They open Pandora's Box a bit with some blunt honesty about what goes on in boxing's matchmaking process.   (language) There was a moment in the show I regrettably used the word "retarded." It is a word I should be phasing out of my vocabulary by now, but I'm not quite an eloquent host yet, sometimes I resort to juvenile words as they come to my head. -garrity 

Shawn came in to talk with Garrity and Trevor about what he's been up to. He shared stories from the 2008 Beijing Olympics like rubbing shoulders with Kobe and Phelps, gave his outlook on world boxing, and talked about some of the fighters he's training along with his successful personal fitness training business.

Garrity and Trevor meet with South Central LA prospect, Flavio Rodriguez.  They speak about his upbringing, early start in boxing with Leo Santa Cruz, Ivan Delgado and the LA Boxing Club.  We talk his return to the ring in his fight coming up on the Errol Spence Jr vs Mikey Garcia undercard and his future plans.    (Language) If you got kids in the car, maybe save this one for later.   Josh Taylor vs. Ivan Baranchyk on May 18th is the fight and date Flavio mentions in the episode
