The Red Sox finish the season at 81-81 after having losing seasons in each of the previous 2 seasons. -----On the Board 1st- The Red Sox put 2 runs on the board in the Bottom of the 2nd Inning. Jarren Duran reached with a 1-out Single and scored on an RBI Double from Vaughn Grissom, who scored from 3rd when Triston Casas reached on a fielder's choice. The Red Sox added a run in the Bottom of the 5th to go up, 3-1. Connor Wong picked up an RBI when he reached on a fielder's choice. -----Quinn's Red Sox Debut: Quinn Priester made his Red Sox debut and got the start in Game #162. Priester worked 3 scoreless innings to get started. He left a runner stranded at 3rd in the 1st Inning and left 2 runners on base in the 2nd Inning. The Red Sox are a game below .500 (80-81) with 1 more game to go for the 2024 Regular Season. The Red Sox are now 6 games below .500 with a record of 37-43 at Fenway.-----On the Board 1st- Triston Casas got the Red Sox on the board with 1 big swing of the bat in the Bottom of the 1st. Casas hit a solo Home Run off Rays starter, Shane Baz, that went into the seats above the Green Monster in leftfield. It's his 13th of the season and 2nd this season off Baz. -----Kutter & The Home Run Ball: Kutter Crawford made his final start of the 2024 Regular Season Saturday afternoon. Crawford gave up a 2-run Home Run to Junior Caminero in the 3rd Inning and that put the Rays up, 2-1. It was the 34th Home Run allowed this season by Crawford, the most in the Majors. Crawford gave up RBI Singles to Caminero and Jonathan Aranda in the 5th and exited with 2 on and 1 out.

Sox are 80-80 with 2 more games to go in the Regular Season. The Sox are .500 for the 24th time this season. -----On the Board 1st- Rays and Red Sox were scoreless until the Rays broke through in the Top of the 7th. Jonathan Aranda reached with a 1-out walk and scored on an RBI Double off the bat of Josh Lowe. On the play, Johnny DeLuca was thrown out trying to score from 1st. DeLuca was out 8-6-2 for the 2nd out of the Inning. That would be all for Pivetta, who left to a nice ovation in what may have been his final appearance with the Red Sox. Zach Penrod entered with a runner on base. Penrod walked and hit the 1st 2 hitters that he faced and then walked Christopher Morel to force in a run. That run was charged to Pivetta and ended Penrod's night on the hill. Luis Guerrero entered and got the final out to leave the bases loaded. # 37's Final Line- 6.2 IP. 4 Hits. 2 R. 2

Loss snapped the Red Sox win streak at 4 in a row. They never won more than 4 straight after the All-Star Break. Sox took 2 of 3 in the Series, but failed to finish off a series sweep for the 4th time since the All-Star Break. -----On the Board 1st: Just like he did Tuesday night, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. helped get the Blue Jays on the board 1st in the Series Finale Wednesday night. Guerrero led off the Home 4th Inning with a Double and scored on a Double from Alejandro Kirk to put the Jays up, 1-0. Kirk scored on an RBI Single from Ernie Clement to make it 2-0. Kirk knocked in 2 more runs and made it 4-0 with a 2-out, 2-run Single in the 5th Inning.
