Good morning Horners! Joining Good Morning Gjallarhorn today was one of the Daily Norseman’s great writers, Warren Ludford. He's here to talk your Vikings, the defense and the playoffs. Also, some bonus thoughts about Kirk Cousins.  Dave asked about his written piece from a couple a weeks ago and wonders if the Vikings defense has actually improved. Cameron Dantzler and Jeff Gladney have improved their play since the bye week. Before that it was full of rookie mistakes, but since, their growth has been visible, especially with Dantzler who is playing as one of the better corners in the league. Gladney has had to learn both the outside and nickel corner spots and it will be entering next season to see if a healthy Mike Hughes can compliment the rookies from this year. The Jaguars… The Vikings seem to come out very flat for another week at home or at U.S. Bank Stadium as Myles points out. Kirk Cousins play wasn’t great but wasn’t terrible, but he did come up with another game-winning drive even if it was to hand off to Dalvin Cook numerous times, and the Vikes came away with the W. The offense has been turnover prone and this cannot happen Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They need every advantage they can get. That may mean stellar play from Kirk Cousins to receivers like Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. Dalvin Cook looks to be in for a long day against the number one run defense in the league. On paper, comparing the numbers as Drew does so well, this should be a substantial Vikings victory. Good morning Horners! Yes! The Vikings win! Vikings win! The battle between Kirk Cousins and Teddy Bridgewater, for at least this round was settled. Kirk Cousins was the best of the two quarterbacks today with Kirk notching his second come from behind win of his regular-season career in Minnesota. Kirk is playing at a high level over this last month, and the question is will it continue?  This was an ugly game however, and came down to basically who would make the last mistake. Turnovers led to scores for the Panthers and specifically two of them from Jeremy Chinn. It was also mistakes by Teddy Bridgewater overthrowing wide receivers that were wide open and the end zone, and head coach Matt Rhule calling and absurd sequence at the end of the game where the Panthers only ate up 19 seconds of the clock giving the Vikings time for a game-winning drive.  The Vikings chance to make the playoffs is still viable, and the guys talk about that extensively and what it would mean to head coach Mike Zimmer’s career and
