Good morning Horners! Aren’t victory Tuesday’s great? Is all this mess on Mike Zimmer? Join Ted, Flip, Drew and Dave as we go at it after the game. Your Minnesota Vikings could not win at home fourth out of five times this season. For the third time this season, the Vikings are leading with 2:00 to go in the game and lose. For us fans, this has been extremely frustrating. The frustration is evident in this show, but watch or listen at your peril. There is a large amount of explicit language. You are forewarned. The defense that had been improving over the last three weeks took a step back, and could not contain the Dallas running attack led by Ezekiel Elliott and occasional throws by Andy Dalton. The TD catch by CeeDee Lamb was unbelievable and served as a spark too. The Vikings offense was occasionally effective, but it took until later in the game for that to happen. Penalties were another issue. Most of the game, Dalvin Cook was pretty much restrained until he started busting some longer ones in the third

Vikings vs Cowboys… Good morning Horners! Your Minnesota Vikings have won three division games in a row, and now they move on to play the Cowboys at U.S. Bank Stadium. The question is will they win again? Ted, Drew, Ryno and Dave break it all down for you in this episode of the GMG Pregame Show.  Drew breaks down the numbers and points out that both teams are real close in their rankings. Ryno suggests however that since Dallas is bad against the run, Dalvin Cook should have a good day. Kirk Cousins has been playing well, will that continue? Good morning Horners! Aren’t victory Tuesday’s great? Join Ted, Flip, Drew and Dave as we celebrate a magical night. Your Minnesota Vikings go in the Soldier Field wearing white on white for the first time since 2015, and win over the Chicago Bears. Mike Zimmer finally beat Matt Nagy’s team in a place that has caused the Vikings fits over the years. There were even points last night where it look like it would again, like that Cordarrelle Patterson hundred and 4 yard kickoff return, but due to a combination of Vikings defensive improvement and bears offensive inadequacies, that was it. The Vikings defense went on to cause a 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out, turnover on downs, and another turnover on downs to stop any more points being scored against them. Wow!  It wasn’t all the defense either. The Vikings never went away from the run even thought the Bears tried to shut it down. They did keep Dalvin Cook to 3.2 yards per carry, but he was not stopped. It was a balanced execution where Kirk Cousins

Vikings vs Bears… Good morning Horners! Monday night under the lights, outside, on grass, what could go wrong?! Kirk Cousins will go into his 10th Monday Night Football game hoping to win his first one. Mike Zimmer will face Matt Nagy and hope to get his first when against this team since 2017. The contest will take place at Soldier Field in Chicago with your 3-5 Minnesota Vikings at the 5-3 Chicago Bears. The Vikings are 4-16 since 2000 in that stadium, that seems to have turned into a house of horrors for whatever reason. Will the Vikings win?  Dalvin Cook is coming off two consecutive games with over 200 yards and the question is will he be able to make it three? This stadium has not been good to him in the last two years where he had only 12 yards of rushing int 2018 and 35 yards worth of rushing last year. That is a testament to the Bears defense focusing on the run. If they do it again, will the Vikings improved offensive line play be the difference and allow Dalvin to go wild, or at least protect Kirk

Good morning Horners! Aren’t victory Monday’s great? Your Minnesota Vikings ran all over the Detroit Lions on the way to a 34-20 win. Dalvin Cook was again the star with 252 all purpose yards, 206 of them on the ground. He had a 9.4 yard per play average. That is outstanding and murmurs of MVP are starting to rise. Adrian Peterson watched and was impressed if you saw his expressions. He wasn’t the only one either. Where you?  For the second week in a row, the Vikes seemed to have found a winning formula with improved O-line play, running the rock and limiting Kirk Cousins to 20 passing attempts. It was an efficient game plan by the offense. Will it carryover to next Monday night against the better defense of the Chicago Bears?  The defense was still a cobbled together unit with even Chris Jones playing at corner. I was asking who’s that too. LOL. The D may not have been pretty and gave up a lot of yards between the 20’s, but they did stiffen in the redbone for the most part, and they generated 3 interceptio

Vikings vs Lions… Good morning Horners! We have another division rival coming to town to play your Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings coming off the win against the Packers with face the 3-4 Detroit Lions that could be less Matt Stafford due to him being put on the Covid list. He could clear as early as Sunday morning then fly to Minneapolis in time for the game. We know Kenny Golladay has already been called out, so which Lions team shows up is in question. Which Vikings team, the motivated one from last week or the flat one from the previous home games showing up is in question too. Which one do you think shows?  Dalvin Cook had a great game lest Sunday matching the 4 TD performance of Ahmad Rashad and Chuck Foreman. Will he do it again? Will Kirk Cousins have to pass more? As Drew points out, with Dalvin’s performance from last week, the play action pass is set up from the first offensive play of the game.
