Unfortunately, many churches in the past have taught people not to bear their true emotions to God in prayer. Yet that is exactly what David does in this psalm as he reflects on his problems and where he sees the only one who can save him from this danger is God himself. Josh teaches us to be honest with God - after all, he knows what we're feeling anyway so it's easier to be truthful and honest about our emotions and struggles.
