This chakra is also related to our identity / identity in Christ and who He says that we are. The Shield of Faith is a means of protection against "the fiery darts of the wicked one". Our shield is not a passive defense but an active one, representing our trust and confidence in God. It is through faith that we are able to deflect doubts, fears, temptations, accusations, and remain steadfast in our walk with Christ. This faith emanates from our core being, much like the strength of a warrior depends on the integrity of their shield in battle. The Shield of Faith can protect against offense (the bait of satan), bitterness or unforgiveness, while drawing us toward postures of love and forgiveness. Because these things can cause brokenness or a broken heart, this area can also be associated with the Breastplate of Righteousness, which protects
