On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez (@Mandoman12) brought in Florida Panthers Historian, Francisco Oporta(@fjojr and @FLACatsHistory) to break down Canada's 4-3 OT win in night one of the Four Nations Face-Off. Canada was energized off the pregame introductions when Mario Lemieux was part of it, scoring on the power play less than a minute in. Sweden struggled in the first 15 minutes of the game where they had a hard time getting their cycle going. Things settled down in the second period as they were able to eliminate Canada's speed, allowing them to cut it to one, and doing so again in the third period to force overtime. Canada then gained full control back with the open ice three-on-three, with Sidney Crosby dropping the puck off to Mitch Marner, who came up the gut with speed to beat Filip Gustavsson past the blocker to give the Canadians the two points.
