The Book of Acts is a hoot! Starting with the day of Pentecost, we see a massive outpouring of God's power and grace! This cataclysmic event set the disciples up for a lifestyle of miracles and gift-based ministry.  The disciples continued steadfastly in prayer because they had learned from their teacher to cultivate a prayer reflex. At times, they were overwhelmed by their calling until they understood that prayer was the key to unlocking the resources of heaven! They had been commissioned to do miracles and needed to understand their source. Fortunately, Jesus had taught them! The Lord taught them to embrace a simple, childlike prayer reflex. No fanfare, no striving, just simple faith in the Father!  Our prayer life matters because it most clearly expresses our connection to the Lord.
