In our third message in the Sowing and Reaping Sunday series, Joe  reminds us of the ultimate call on a believer's life, a reframe of who Christ is looking to spend eternity with. God is preparing a bride spotless and white, for Jesus, the only one who is worthy. The price to choose Jesus is high and uncomfortable, it is an act that calls us to break ourselves to The One who broke first for us. The true essence of our walk with Jesus does not end with our mortal existence, but an opportunity to develop a deeper intimacy with Jesus, as the lady who broke the alabaster jar found out, having Jesus as the focus of our adoration and purpose, brings to surface all the noise surrounding life, ministry and faith. The question asked is do we seek Jesus for him or what he can provide? The seed of intimacy has eternity as its timeline.

In this second message in our Sowing and Reaping Sunday series, Rosie invites us into the mystery of the Hidden Seed, a life surrendered to the deep, unseen work of God. At the heart of this message is the revelation that God is a sower and he is always sowing. He sows His Life, His Word, His Spirit, and His purposes into our lives and into the soil of our hearts. As we respond in the secret place, we become seeds in His hand, buried, broken open, and prepared for a harvest only He can bring. This is not a passive process, but a divine partnership that leads to lasting fruit. It is an invitation into the beauty of abiding, trusting, and letting God sow into and then through your life.

Phil Mason introduces this new series with a message that explains the relationship between the New Testament teaching on sowing and reaping and how this works within the framework of New Testament grace. All who are in Christ are “under grace,” yet we are told that the principle or law of sowing and reaping still very much applies. On the negative side of the ledger, if we sow to our old self life we reap corruption but on the positive side, God promises that when we sow to our new life in the Spirit we will assuredly reap a great harvest. The entire realm of sowing and reaping is a glorious invitation to take God at His word and see how tremendously we will reap in the Spirit if we are willing to sow our lives into the kingdom of God. Sowing and reaping applies in every arena of the Christian life. In this new series we will explore some of these fields of harvest that await those who sow and do not lose heart.

In this final session on spiritual warfare, Phil Mason took his audience on a journey of exploring the skills of defensive warfare. Jim gave our Easter Sunday message, sharing about the Invitation into Surrender.All relationships have a price, and deep relationships cost deeply. Pay any price to be in the community because even though it’s costly, it is worth it! Jim shares how Jesus paid the price for deep relationships on the cross and how we can respond by surrendering to the deep relationship God desires with us. Jesus modelled a supernatural surrender amid suffering and even betrayal, showing us what love looked like! Surrender feels wrong, but it’s so right and produces incredible fruit in our lives. It is always a good day for surrender!

The Book of Acts is a hoot! Starting with the day of Pentecost, we see a massive outpouring of God's power and grace! This cataclysmic event set the disciples up for a lifestyle of miracles and gift-based ministry.  The disciples continued steadfastly in prayer because they had learned from their teacher to cultivate a prayer reflex. Acts 2:42 describes the first church community, birthed on the Day of Pentecost. The outpouring of the Father’s love and the power of the Holy Spirit welded together a high-hesed community united by the shared experience of God’s hesed; His loyal, unfailing love that builds powerful bonds of attachment love to God and one another. This high water mark forever stands as the benchmark of true Spirit-filled community where everyone is under the revival anointing of ‘Hesed va Emet,’ where all the believers were gripped and electrified by God’s ‘mercy and truth.’ The Holy Spirit continually seeks to reenact this ‘charismatic moment’ where all the believers are swept up together in the flow of Hesed va Emet. The Holy Spirit is always at work to build high-hesed communities that replicate the experience of the early church gripped by divine love, power, glory, and truth. In the Book of Acts, chapter 2, we see the mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the healing and infilling of many people! This outpouring resulted in a rush of energy for the things of God, and it says in verse 42 that, as a result: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common.” We can see here that apostolic authority builds a safe place for prayer, fellowship, and communion practices, but the common thread is the power of God displayed in the apostles. It became the glue that drove the awe and ecstasy that blew up in and around them as miracles took place! God has a “recipe” for His Bride to mature and grow, and it involves right relationship with the Body of Jesus, starting with spiritual authority. Raised in a Hebrew culture, David understood that Yahweh, the creator of the universe, had set His heart on an intimate relationship with His sons and daughters. David was a mystic who sought an unmediated encounter with the living God. God chose David because he was a man after His own heart. The Psalms are David’s personal journal of his journey with God through all the ups and downs of life. David learned how to be in ‘relational mode’ because God is always in ‘relational mode.’ David communed with God face-to-face. He encountered the glory realm of God and learned to abide in God’s hesed within the Tabernacle of David. He confronted his own propensity to slide out of relational mode, where he disengaged from the heart of God and his own heart. May this message draw you into a deeper relationship with God, like David who sought the Lord all his days.
