KDKA TV’s Bob Pompeani joined the show. Pomp talked about what an experience it is to cover the US Open. Bob broke down some of the holes and the difficulties that can be presented. Bob talked about the ‘carnage’ on the course at Oakmont. Bob picked two golfers that look like they are out already, but he said players can respond big on the second day to get themselves back into the leaderboard. Bob talked about some history he has seen at various tournaments over the years. Chris told Bob he thinks Brooks Koepka will be among the leaders late in the day on Sunday.
