Pirates pre/post game host Dan Zangrilli joined the show. The Pirates swept the Rockies over the weekend. Bubba Chandler earned a 4-inning save in his debut Friday night. Paul Skenes shut out Colorado over 7 innings yesterday. The guys shared a staggering stat about the 2025 Pirates and their home/road splits. Dan shared his reaction of Bubba’s debut, but mentioned how he didn’t think his call-up was deserved at the time. Dan said there is a lot to be excited about when it comes to Pirates pitching in 2026. Will we see Chandler in the bulk relief role for the remainder of the season? Dan thinks Konnor Griffin has an outside chance to break spring training with the club going into 2026, the way Jared Jones did last year. Griffin has good early returns in Altoona and Dan wants to see the bump up to AAA before the season is over.
