10 years (and a day) since the Pirates were last in a playoff game – the 2015 Wild Card loss to the Cubs. Those teams from the three year stretch between 2013 and 2015 are remembered fondly – as they should be by some fans of a younger age. Should we subscribe more to the Paul Skenes mindset though? He wants to bring more than just a Wild Card win and a Divisional Series loss in 5 games to this city. The guys mentioned the double standard we have with the Steelers, who lose in the Wild Card round almost annually. There is no blaming of the fans because we should remember those teams well, but not THIS well, due to the ineptitude of the front office since then.
