It all started out fairly innocently enough way back in college, or did it? Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg are now under fire for not patrolling the trolls that are attacking their online social media platform. Since 2012 Facebook began to slip from public opinion’s grace and now the company is in real trouble. They’ve been accused of promoting hate speech, influencing elections, even allowing the marketing of child brides. Hearings in Washington, DC have suggested they have become the new insatiable Little Shop of Horror who’s starring plant moans, “Feed Me!” Perhaps historically Facebook will be remembered as the grand daddy who gave birth to fake news.
