But when it comes to government or politics it can take on a whole new dimension and right here in the United States that's just what has happened. These are tumultuous times and US World Report, now in its 6th season is back on the air. With our new US president Joe Biden in the White house, it’s no longer business as usual. RU Losing Your Mind (Airdate) 05/30/20 For many millions of Americans there is a virus that affects not just our bodies, but for some, our minds.  For some forty million life is out of control. We are overwhelmed with anxiety and depression.  As we panic over our fears for the safety of our families a toxic rage sets in. When our loved ones die visits are denied. We panic over thoughts that our family will be infected if we go to work, where our next pay check is coming from if we don’t, if we can’t get our medication, if our children can’t go to school?  Who do we trust if we can’t trust our government? As the fury of not getting straight answers builds so does our rage. TROOPS AT RISK (airdate) 05/23/20   This memorial day as we mourn our losses and honor our dead we are reminded of the living who have cheated death.    Among those are soldiers who paid the highest price for our security.  They now face a worldwide plague on the frontlines at home, one that does not respond to AK47s or airstrikes: homelessness, misinformation, finding a doctor you can reach, endless red tape and paperwork that does not apply to you, like coming up with a home address when you are homeless, and those behind the desk who simply want you to go away.  Listen to Michael Sulsona, veteran, leader of veterans, as he raises his voice to guide us through the endless hurdles of bureaucracy and confusing information and tells us what vets need and how you can respond.

Who’s Holding Down The Fort? Airdate 05/16/20 Who is essential?  Who is absolutely necessary? They are the People who make our towns and cities run, the faithful brace of health care workers, the transit workers who take us where we need to go, the grocery store checkout clerks, those who mind the malls, the diner, those we ask into our homes to fix our plumbing, the factory and plant workers who spend more time together than they do with their own families, those who are forced to choose between keeping their jobs and protecting their health.  They are the people who live paycheck to paycheck and are not getting one, who are on unemployment and food stamps for the first time in their lives, households who are pushed into bankruptcy. They are the immigrant population, people of color who are most at risk, people who played by the rules, who worked regular jobs, paid their taxes, and now are one of thirty million who are out of a job because of a crisis no fault of their own, They are the people we put in harm

Nightmares in broad daylight with faulty logic and confusion at the top on down, face masks, an invisible and stalking plague, people falling ill and dying at random. Refrigerator trucks keeping them in our streets.  Nothing is safe to touch, and everything is banned.  Waking nights, dreams and nightmares bring us the plain truth of what we feel about what we are seeing but cannot consciously process.  U.S. World Report listens to the dreams and nightmares of a nation and world in crisis and encourages you to listen to yours to understand the trauma, or the salvation you are experiencing.

When we flatten that curve, what will be left of the power of the people who suffered this crisis.   As if we were emerging from the wreckage of the Twin Towers, we bang pans outside our windows and applaud health workers, our first responders? How many health workers will be left when the next wave of the virus comes? The 1918 pandemic came in three waves, the mild attack in the spring and the deadliest attack in the fall with another in the winter. Our national heart beats to patriotism.  Perhaps we will find a different kind of patriotism in the next few years. (1950-1954).  Orson Wells, Charlie Chaplin, Lena Horne, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie  & hundreds of other artists, musicians, directors and actors were blacklisted and. labeled as communists.
