This week US World Report visits China, a land where big brother is watching everything; where your life and your career can be predetermined as the Economist put it, by a “digital totalitarian state.  Almost a half century ago, it was Richard Nixon, of all our president’s, who broke the mold when he traveled to China and took the world and the United States with him. What has changed because of that visit?  Is the so called middle kingdom friend or foe?  Join us as we probe this question, and just exactly what kind of relationship we want with a country of 1.3 billion people organized by the state? Is the price of our economic relationship a threat to our freedom in the long run? Is it wise or even possible to hold our fire and find common ground?
